Nottingham Racecourse news: Racecourse on target for dazzling night

Tuesday 2 August: Larger than life darts legend Bobby George and players from Notts County Cricket Club are the stars of the show as Nottingham Racecourse gets ready for three busy racing fixtures during August.

Visitors will be able to take on 'The Dazzler' at the oche during Colwick Park's Sports Night on Tuesday 9 August.

They'll also get the chance to meet cricketing stars who are coming over the river from Trent Bridge Cricket Ground for the evening.

Add to that virtual golf, plus seven horse races that begin at 5.15pm, and a tremendous night of entertainment is in prospect.

There are further racing fixtures at Nottingham Racecourse in August - on the afternoons of Friday 12th and Wednesday 17th when the first race times are 2.20pm and 1.50pm respectively.

Grandstand admission is £10 (£14 on Tuesday 9th); Premier Enclosure admission is £16 (£20 on Tuesday 9th).  Youngsters aged under 18 who are accompanied by an adult receive free admission.

More information is available at nottinghamracecourse.co.uk.

There is also Arabian racing at the racecourse on Saturday 20 August.  Adult admission is £8 (£6 in advance) with under 18s free of charge.  The first race is at 2pm.  Further details can be found at aroracing.co.uk or by calling 01635 524445.
